FInding paragraph #1

My essential question for this paragraph "Who has the internet affected the most generation wise?"

"Milliennials, those ages 18-33, remain more likely to access the internet wirelessly with a or mobile phone. In addition, they still surpass their elders online when it comes to many communication- and entertainment-related activities, such as using social network sites and playing games online."

The connection that this quote has to the essential question would be that it talks about a certain age group with the effects of how the internet has affected that specific age group. Internet has effected the milliennials most(ages 18-33). In addition, they still clearly surpass their elders online when it comes to many communication(Zickuhr). Senior people don't use internet for activities like communication as much as the younger generation does. Senior people use internet mainly for activities like checking news, weather, and things of that nature.

"Social networking use among internet users ages 50 and older nearly doubled--from 22% in April 2009 to 42% in May 2010"

According to an article by Mary Madden communication use of old people is growing. Even though older people don't use internet for communication as much, that's changing very fast. This quote connects with my essential question because it shows that older people are also using internet at a rising pace for communication just like younger people are. Senior people are becoming more and more familiar with internet and they are seeing benefits of it. Because of this, internet is affecting not only younger generations but older ones as well.

"Fully 73% of adult internet users (representing 54% of all US adults) went online to get news or information about the 2010 midterm elections, or to get involved in the campaign in one way or another."

My final quote says that a whole 73% of adult internet users got news about the 2010 election with the help of the internet. That's a huge number of people that is depending on the internet to supply them with accurate information at their fingertips. This connects with my essential question because it mentions how 54% of all US adults went online to find information. It shows that the internet is in fact affecting the adult population.
